NEW YORK — Guns. Religion. Abortion. These are the no-win arguments that spoil family gatherings — and the stuff of retailers’ nightmares.

Dear God people? Seriously? As long as the local laws are being followed, “Who Cares?” is what Starbucks is saying. Why are all the anti-gun crowd all up in arms about this? I bet the first time they get robbed, mugged, attacked or whatever they will change their tune quite quickly. Remember, when seconds count the police are only minutes away!

State Rep. Rob Teilhet is introducing a measure Tuesday that would allow the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to send sex offenders’ information to Facebook, MySpace and other sites.

Not saying this isnt a good idea, but come on.. ever heard of Gmail, Yahoo Mail or Hotmail? Whats stopping them from opening a completely fake account and logging on through those?

Under a revised version of a controversial Senate gun bill, the University System of Georgia would be allowed to determine whether guns would be allowed on its campuses.

I love this quote: ‘“Crime is rampant and we just don’t need to give guns to everybody. This is not a war zone,” James said. “This will just open up a can of worms. People will die needlessly.”’ The same was said when Kennesaw, GA passed a law requiring homeowners to own a firearm. So far, they have some of the lowest crime rates ANYWHERE. Can we say “flawed logic” people? Maybe we can ask GA Tech students how they feel about this?
