The New York Fed told AIG to withhold details from the public about more than $62 billion the insurer paid to banks at the height of the 2008 financial crisis.
    So now it comes to light that Geithner knew paying 100 cents on the dollar for these worthless assets would be unpopular and asked AIG to hide it. This bodes so well for the American public. "Hey, put your trust in a man who knew this would stink like day old horse manure and yet let it go on anyway!" Oh, and he "forgot" to pay taxes as well. Yeah, real bright one you have the President Obama.
