LOS ANGELES — The Walt Disney Co. is buying Marvel Entertainment Inc. for $4 billion in cash and stock, bringing such characters as Iron Man and Spider-Man into the family of Mickey Mouse and WALL-E.

Looks like Disney is gobbling up Marvel Comics. Not sure how this will affect the movies, comics and such, but an interesting acquisition for Disney nonetheless.

SHANGHAI (Reuters) – General Motors said on Sunday it has agreed to set up a light commercial vehicle production venture with major Chinese automaker FAW Group, with total investment of 2 billion yuan

Isn’t this the same company that took public funds to bail them out of the situation they got themselves into? Where is the $293M coming from is what I want to know? Investing in a foreign enterprise and country when there are so many people out of work here in the United States isnt the best way to be spending stimulus cash unless they are trying to “stimulate” China’s economy.

Where is the oversight on this Congress? Where is the outrage on this Congress? I guess Government Motors will just end up printing more money for this venture since, to the best of my knowledge GM still hasn’t repaid their loans nor have they done anything to improve their financial standing.
