I’m wondering how long (if it hasn’t happened already) it will be before we start seeing restrictions and censoring (a’la Beijing) on what we can and cannot access on the Internet. Maybe Al Gore will step in as the creator of it and mandate that no restrictions or taxes be placed on it. Also, why would the government “czar” need to report to the economic advisor? I would think that the individual companies like Amazon, eBay and others would be much more capable (and responsive) at protecting their own networks more so than the Federal government who, as we have seen in the past, can’t even prevent reporters from walking around the State Department unchecked.
