Who wants to make bets on how many municipalities post officers on the highways and roads that seem to have a majority of these people?
Anybody want to take a bet on how long it will take before we start seeing more aggressive enforcement of this "law?" I would bet that the majority of the stops you see on the road will now, magically, fall under the "super speeder" provision. After all, you can't take a day out of your work week to go and fight this now, can you?
Once again the legislators have us over a barrel and they know it. This is just another tax and a way to fill the quickly emptying coffers of the state with the supposed tack that it will go to funding a "critical care/ trauma network" in the state but notice this part of the article:
"Sen. Emanuel Jones (D-Decatur) introduced an amendment to require that the money go to trauma care, but his amendment was voted down.
